Some plot point surrounding that would be pretty neat I think, less cut-and-dry like the stereotypical hero story in most ARPGs.Welcome to DestinyLore This Week In Destiny Lore - 9/21/21 | Join the DestinyLore Discord Server | Weekly Questions Thread | Frequently Asked Questions General I just keep feeling like taking part in Act 2 is morally ambiguous because the Elves seem to have a completely valid reason to hate humans: for overtaking their homeland by force. But that also may be a reason to not do it, like you want to break up that similar atmosphere. Now I know some of the mechanics of Act 3 are more advanced, but it feels more similar to Act 1 in a lot of places. This also makes me wonder if Act 2 and 3 could be switched.

After you defeat Oakstorm, something glitchy happens and he never actually dies, like the Chronicon actually sent you back in time by mistake because the Elf's memory was so strong and it influenced the outcome. What if the Elven War resulted in the enslaving of the Elves by humans, and one of those Elves is a vendor forced to work in the Chronicon? They're always saying something about the past, how they wish something could have changed. I just thought of this, so it may sound out of left field. I think it would help a lot (even if this whole meta-world thing feels a bit like what PoE is doing right now, this is doing it in a different way) I know this is a bit vague now, but it sounds like it could add a lot of flavor to the game. Bosses could get merged together to make Uber versions of those bosses, new mobs that are corrupted combinations of base types, and so on. Basically the Anomalies happening in the main acts but with more explanation and threat, and possibly reward. The idea is that random bosses, enemies, or tilesets mesh with the main one, weird stuff happening etc. The source of this could be the technology itself or maybe some /dastardly/ subplot where Tinka is a villain or something.īut as a result of the Chronicon malfunctioning, things get mixed up.

I'm just not sure how to search for it.Īfter mulling over the concept that every act is a moment of history played back through memory fragments (or something like that) I had the idea of the Chronicon itself not working 100% perfectly all the time. Apologies if this has been thought of already or suggested elsewhere.
